A rubber base coat is a base coat that is flexible and bends together with the nail. Rubber Base is designed to give extra strength to flaky brittle, thin, or splitting nails.
A rubber base coat can be used:
- as a gel polish
- to build structure on natural nails

I have used builder gel from a very expensive brand which I loved, but it was quite difficult to work with. As a first timer, I used a rubber base off Amazon that peeled off right away, so I was skeptical about using another one. I tried NKK and am blown away. I used this rubber base over full cover gel nails after they had grown out and left me with a fill area. I filled the regrowth with NKK rubber base and finished the nails with it. They looked amazing. After a few weeks, no lift, no budge, no chipping. So I ended up removing those nails after a few weeks and tried NKK rubber base on my natural nails. I have had it on for about 3 weeks now and they still look new, because the cuticle area is absolutely seamless. Not even the tiniest bit of lifting and I have my nails squared off. I have also filed the free edge several times to keep them straight and still no lifting. The milk is a beautiful color and I cannot wait to purchase in more colors.
